What is SocialSci?

SocialSci connects the online community with academic researchers. These researchers need your help to conduct their experiments and understand our world. By answering their questions, participating in their studies, and helping them crunch data you can directly further science. The even cooler part is that just by helping you can win cash and prizes!

How does it work?

We are still in beta, but soon everyone will be able to communicate directly with scientists. The general public will be able to take their surveys, visit researcher's labs to participate in live studies, and even help researchers crunch their exhaustive data sets. All of this is tied into a community oriented site where everything you accomplish earns points that can be redeemed for prizes or straight cash. Take a survey one day, visit your local psych lab the next, and over the weekend help a scientist classify new galaxies!

Who runs this thing?

We are a bunch of Yale dropouts who are sick of how academic research is currently carried out. We think researchers can save valuable time and billions of dollars by embracing new technology (which we just so happen to build). We are currently seed funded, located in Boston, and have attracted some of largest academic powerhouses to our research tools.
